Facial Recognition Software
What is your reaction to stores using facial recognition software to track whether you like a product or not? Do you feel that hidden camera's are an intrusion to your privacy? Why do you think this information is important to retail stores? Please answer the blog prompt in at least 3 complete sentences, correct spelling and grammar.
This would be a really cool idea for people. Hidden cameras are smart also to see how people can go in to the store and you may see if someone was stealing. It's important because many people like trying new things and that's a new thing.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is a great idea. Hidden cameras are not an intrusion to your privacy. It is important because if people went to a retail store then they would like to use that.
ReplyDeleteHaving a hidden camera around the store seems to be used for a good purpose right now. However, it does have qualities within it that could be an invasion of ones privacy. Depending on if they plan to make more of these, then they should use it wisely instead of using it to see a reaction.

ReplyDeleteI think it isn't a good idea because some people have multiple facial expressions and sometimes facial expressions don't show what they actually feel. Yes because I don't want to be watched the whole time I'm looking at stuff. So they know what people think and if they should do it or not.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the product,I think it is not a good idea to use it. I wouldn't want to be tapped without my knowledge or consent. So they can have things that people will buy and not thing people wouldn't buy.

ReplyDeleteyes it is important to retail stores because it can help you find the right size of what your looking for. And it a little like invading your privacy because you might not want people to know you foot size or jean size. But over all it is good.
ReplyDeleteI never knew stores used facial recognition as hidden cameras.I don't think that its an invasion of privacy, you shouldn't be doing anything in public that you would't want to be on camera with. It could impact some stores because people may believe that its an invasion of privacy.

ReplyDeleteIt's okay but it's nothing I would use. I don't like the hidden camera's i feel like if they have the nerve to put hidden camera's up they should let people know because everyone needs some type of privacy. It's important some retail stores know what people like and dislike.

ReplyDeleteI think it dumb and why would you need to be scan on you feet to know what shoes u want why dont u just try it on and it will be much easier so i think this facial scaning is not a good idea

ReplyDeleteI feel that your privacy should be of utmost prominence to retailers. A hidden camera may weigh some great benefits but none of which compare to your peace of mind. Some people are very self conscience and i feel that this only highlights their fears.
ReplyDeleteI think that the hidden cameras are an okay idea but i wouldn't recommend it. Privacy is a major thing to many people. I think that the openly seen cameras that we have now are just fine.

ReplyDeleteI think it's pretty nice because you can have a nice image of what it would look like before buying it. It also shows how much space something will take up and not just waste the piece of furniture. But it's also invading privacy which most people don't like.

I also think that it can help you see things that maybe you wouldn't catch someone doing. Retail stores need to let the buyers know what they are getting into and letting them say their opinion on the product.

ReplyDeleteIts a very cool idea, all though I wouldn't use it. It would take a lot of work and fixing the glitches to use. Some people may think its an invasive of privacy though and may stop going to that store so the store might lose business.
